S&J UK FIELD SALES MANAGER

Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in the delivery of national account sales targets and team field sales targets.

This role is three fold offering the successful candidate variety of challenge and job satisfaction, with key accountabilities including:

1. Key national account management;
2. Business development opportunities; and
3. Management of the UK Area Sales Manager network

In this role your key national account management responsibilities will require you to develop account strategies and business plans for each customer in order to achieve sales targets. Business development responsibilities will involve establishing excellent customer relationships and continually developing opportunities. Management of the area sales team will require you to deliver effective leadership, direction and motivation to enable the field sales team to deliver.

We are looking for candidates with sales team management experience, ideally from a Tools/Hardware industry background, with a proven sales performance track record.

The successful candidate will need to be ambitious, target driven and sales orientated, with a natural ability to be both a ‘people’ and ‘national account’ manager. We are looking for candidates who get a buzz from managing, inspiring and getting the best out of people combined with being a natural sales professional with excellent commercial awareness, first-class communication / interpersonal and customer service skills.

You will need to be computer literate, experienced ERP / CRM user, with SAP experience an advantage. Applicants must have a full / valid UK driving licence and be comfortable with extensive UK travel and frequent overnight stays to satisfy job requirements.

Reporting directly to the UK Sales Manager this is a new exciting opportunity which will require the role holder to operate in a dedicated sales support capacity for the UK Sales Manager and oversee specific National Account activity.

This role will offer the right person challenge and variety, with an overview of responsibilities including:

1. Offer all-round excellent office-based sales support to the UK Sales Manager in so doing supporting the delivery of the UK Sales Team strategy;
2. Leading on specific National Accounts as directed by the UK Sales Manager, implementing sales and marketing strategies effectively;
3. Developing account strategies in accordance with overall channel strategy, account goals and business plans for each customer.
4. Oversee excellent sales administration processes, including forecasting and budgeting processes and tracking account revenues and cost, effectively monitor category performance versus plan and communicating accordingly;

We are looking for candidates educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally from a DIY / Tools or retail background with a proven sales performance / national account track record. To be considered for this role applicants must be able to demonstrate skills in achieving sales, profitability, and budgeted goals; be able to effectively apply sales and marketing strategies; monitor category performance v plan and reporting mechanisms etc.

You will need to be highly motivated, target driven and results orientated; customer focused, able to build and sustain excellent working relationships and have first class communication and interpersonal skills; furthermore able to work under pressure and have good time management, planning and organizing skills.

In addition you will need to be computer literate, experienced ERP / CRM user, with SAP experience an advantage; furthermore be in possession of a full / valid UK driving licence and be comfortable with frequent UK travel and some overnight stays to satisfy job requirements.
