Spear & Jackson Contractors' Tools range expands

Contractors tools

The Spear & Jackson range of Contractors Tools continues to grow, providing more heavy duty tools to meet the tough demands of construction professionals. The latest additions include:

• Double Shovel Holers - With hardened and tempered carbon steel blades (size 355 x 220mm or 14” x 8.5”), these powerful and durable Holers are available with shafts made from lightweight tubular steel, or high quality ash wood.
• Cable Grafter – With narrow blades (size 276 x 144mm or 10.7/8” x 5.5/8”) manufactured from hardened and tempered carbon steel, this hard-wearing new Grafter spade is designed for digging deep, narrow post holes. Its light, tubular steel handle is 1380mm (or 54”) long.
• Post Hole Auger – For drilling holes in soft ground, this new Auger’s corkscrew steel blade features a hardened tip to handle tough surfaces. Its hardwood ‘T’ handle provides a firm grip, while its durable steel shaft will last for years.
• Rubber Maul – An essential tool in paving, this new Rubber Maul features an extremely durable, high grade rubber head. Its extra long wooden handle (1065mm, or 42”) allows comfortable operation, even for taller users. Replacement handles and rubber heads are also available.
• New Tampers – With a durable drop-forged steel head, lightweight tubular steel handle and non-slip rubber grip, these new Contractors’ Tampers are as sturdy as they come. Two are available: a 10lb Square Tamper (head size 125 x 125mm, or 5” x 5”) and 22lb Asphalt Tamper (head size 310 x 125mm, or 12” x 5”).
• Post Rammer – A solid metal end cap and 165mm (6”) diameter tubular steel body allow this Rammer to offer all the power users need, in a lightweight body. 530mm (20.7/8”) long steel handles offer a firm grip and easy operation.
• Turfing Iron – The solid-forged carbon steel head and socket (which is also lipped and riveted) provide strength. The hammer finish and epoxy head coating provide resistance from rust, scratches and humidity. The hardwood shaft is also weather-proofed for greater durability. Expect years of service from this new Turfing Iron.
• Chisel & Point Crowbars – Hardened and tempered to BS standards, these new Crowbars provide incredible strength and power. At the end of a 28mm (1.1/8”) diameter heavy duty steel bar, two options are available: a 28mm (1.1/8”) or 31mm (1.1/4”) wide chisel blade.
