How to plant bulbs
Choosing and planting bulbs which will flower next spring and summer seems like ages away, and we haven't even put the garden to sleep. But planted now, you'll ensure you get some great colour in the garden, at a time when you'll really appreciate it.
Take a look at my 'how to' guide for the best way to plant bulbs. All you will need is the handy bulb planter, which makes planting bulbs really easy and quick. Simply push the tool into the ground, while twisting back and forth. When you reach the required depth (2-3 times the depth of the bulb) remove the bulb planter from it's newly created hole, and place the bulb in the base of the hole. Return the bulb planter to the hole and squeeze the handle to release the soil. Firm down and move on to the next.
