If so, we are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities including receiving, storing, and distributing goods.

There's plenty to do in this role, receive incoming deliveries and ensure they are accurately recorded and stored. You will pick, pack and prepare orders for customers. You will perform inventory counts and mainatin accurate records of stock levels, keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe. You will assist with loading and work in accordance with Warehouse standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What about you? You will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced and often demanding warehouse environment with varied work demands. You will have attention to detail and excellent levels of accuracy and be able to follow verbal/written instructions and SOPs. You will have excellent communication and good time-keeping. You will have a good work ethic with a can-do attitude and be a team player who can also work on your own initiative.

Can you spot the needle in the haystack? Because as our Quality Inspector, you'll be doing just that, but with products instead!

At Spear & Jackson UK we are dedicated to delivering excellence in all aspects of our operations. We take pride in our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Our warehouse plays a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards before reaching our customers.

There’s plenty to do in this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of incoming, new and safety critical products to ensure they meet the quality standards. You will be responsible for identifying and documenting any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities found during inspections. You will produce quality reports for new product development, customer returns and conduct return analysis when required. You will perform facility and system audits and manage the internal calibration process. You will participate in continuous improvement and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing inspections.

What about you? You will ideally have previous experience in a quality department, preferably in a FMCG, manufacturing or warehouse environment. It would be advantageous if you had knowledge and experience of working to ISO 9001/13485 industry standards. Experience in testing and knowledge of quality sampling techniques is preferable. You’ll have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills both verbal and written. You will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and have good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
