We are looking to recruit a Customer Services Officer to join our Customer Services Team in Sheffield. This is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge, and opportunity within the S&J UK business.

Reporting to the Customer Services Manager and based at tour Sheffield offices, the Customer Services Officer will primarily be responsible for providing an outstanding experience for all customers, giving the best possible service, advice, or solution in a professional and timely manner. Working as part of a team the shared aim is to deliver first class customer service whilst understanding and working towards the Company’s business and financial objectives.

The Customer Services Officer will handle both front-line telephone and written contact with customers, consumers, and sales personnel; with responsibility for providing advice and assistance when required, order editing, order entry, updating the required systems, and processing follow ups to previous requests, whilst always demonstrating due care and attention, and maintaining a professional manner.

  • Have a good level of academic achievement with experience working in a similar role, gained from within a fast-paced customer service environment.
  • Have strong organisational skills.
  • Have an excellent telephone manner.

We have an opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our Team. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for testing and inspecting products to ensure products meet S&J UK product qualification plans and testing standards; furthermore, ensure Customer satisfaction through the administration and control of product, technical and quality related documentation.

To be considered for this role applicants must:

  • Have a good level of academic achievement with previous relatable work-based experience, preferably gained within a quality assurance / inspection department.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to quickly grasp an informed understanding of the S&J UK product range.
  • Able to evidence PC proficiency with competence in the full Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP experience advantageous.
  • Confident in inspecting aesthetic, functional and dimensional requirements specified for all products.

S&J UK is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their Financing Team; reporting to the S&J UK Financial Controller and based at our site in Sheffield, this position will offer the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge and job satisfaction. 

The Credit Controller’s primary responsibilities will be to collect customer payments and maintain the credit management process for the Group organisation.Day to day duties will include allocating customer payments to the relevant accounts and invoices; customer credit management, applying the correct default procedures; performing credit checks and raising overseas payment documentation, along with other general tasks as required, to ensure the smooth running of the department.

To be considered for this role applicants will have a good level of academic achievement and must have previous experience in a similar office-based environment, ideally within a Credit Control role; previous experience with Export Sales Documentation and familiarity with book keeping and basic accounting procedures is advantageous.

The successful candidate will be a confident, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, with excellent time management skills, the ability to plan and organise work effectively and with good attention to detail and accuracy; in addition, candidates will have brilliant computer skills, including the full Microsoft Office Suite, and with SAP experience advantageous.
